ABOUT THE PIECE

Roddy swaps his designer suit and shoes for waterproofs and hiking boots and takes off on an unexpected and life-changing journey of self discovery. Alba tells the story of Roddy’s inconvenient quest to scatter his Dad’s ashes at a remote Scottish waterfall. As Roddy sets out along the snowy Cateran Trail just before New Year’s Eve, little does he know the adventure and challenges waiting for him on the path ahead. A rousing folk musical featuring a cast of actor-musicians and an entirely original score inspired by Scottish traditional and folk music.

Alba premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2014, directed and produced by Finn with the support of a successful Kickstarter campaign.
