Finn Anderson is a Scottish artist creating expansive musical worlds to contain intimate human stories. Blending the raw vulnerability of the singer-songwriter with the epic scope of cinematic drama, he explores folk, art-pop, electronic, and orchestral landscapes with a restless curiosity, finding beauty and catharsis in the mythic and the everyday.
Raised in a fishing village at the edge of the North Sea, Finn’s music is anchored in the mystery of Scotland’s landscapes. His sound is defined by a baritone voice that moves from intimate whisper to full-bodied roar, drawing comparisons to ANOHNI, Scott Walker and Sufjan Stevens. With Bogha-frois: Queer Voices in Folk, Finn is a prominent voice in a growing movement of artists who are reimagining Scottish tradition through a queer lens.
As a solo artist, he has released two deeply personal albums, Until the Light and Into the Arms of Ghosts, performing internationally and sharing the stage with artists such as Patrick Wolf, Rachel Sermanni, Sam Lee, Mick Flannery, Douglas Dare and The Magic Lantern. His third album is set for release in 2027, produced by Ben Christophers (Bat For Lashes, Nakhane, Guy Garvey).
Parallel to his solo career, Finn is the co-creator of acclaimed, genre-defying theatre productions including Islander and Ballad Lines, which have taken his music from rural Highland town halls to New York’s Off-Broadway and stages across the world.
